The Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC) is coming back to the Philippines.

From June 25 to 28, Manila will host the third edition of the Asia Pacific Padel Cup, bringing together some of the region’s top padel talent for four days of competition at Play Padel McKinley in Taguig City. Organized by Padel Pilipinas, the official National Sports Association for padel in the Philippines, the tournament will feature ten teams from seven countries competing across Professional and Amateur divisions .
More than just another stop on the regional calendar, the APPC stands apart because of its unique team-based format. While most tournaments focus on individual rankings and pair performances, the APPC places national pride at the center of the competition.
A Tournament Built on Teamwork
Every match matters at the Asia Pacific Padel Cup.Teams compete across men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, with points accumulated collectively throughout the group stage and knockout rounds. Success isn’t measured by individual achievements alone but by how well an entire delegation performs together. The format transforms every rally into something bigger than a single result. Each point contributes to a country’s overall standing, creating a competition where teamwork, depth, and consistency become just as important as star power. As padel continues its rapid rise across Asia, the APPC has become one of the region’s premier showcases for the sport’s growing community and competitive standard.
Two Editions, Two Champions
The tournament may only be entering its third edition, but it has already produced memorable moments and emerging rivalries. Indonesia became the first-ever APPC champion when it lifted the trophy in Bali in 2024. A year later, the Philippines answered with a championship performance in Kuala Lumpur, capturing the title on Malaysian soil and establishing itself as one of the region’s leading padel nations. Now, the competition heads to Manila with the Philippines defending its crown on home courts. The challenge for the rest of the field is clear: dethrone the reigning champions and take the trophy home.
The Story Behind APPC Manila 2026
This year’s event carries a distinctly Filipino identity through its “Weave Story” visual theme. Inspired by the Banig, the traditional Filipino woven mat, the tournament branding symbolizes the interconnected nature of the Asia-Pacific padel community. Each woven strand represents a participating nation, reflecting how different cultures, players, and communities come together through sport. The concept captures the spirit of the APPC: individual countries united in a shared regional story while competing fiercely on court.
New Nations Join the Growing Competition
The 2026 edition highlights the continued growth of padel throughout Asia. Taiwan and Brunei will make their APPC debuts, marking their first appearances on the regional stage. India returns for its third consecutive participation, demonstrating its continued investment in the competition. South Korea and Pakistan also return for a second year, bringing valuable experience and ambitions of their own.
