FEU threatened early and nearly opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Iries Dela Cruz’s looping effort beat the goalkeeper but struck the crossbar. A minute later, the Lady Tamaraws created another dangerous opportunity as a cross into the middle found a charging teammate, but DLSU goalkeeper Jessica Pido came off her line well to punch the ball clear despite the collision.
DLSU responded with a promising counterattack in the 23rd minute. Steph Gone released Chenny Danoso, but FEU quickly closed down the passing lanes, leaving the forward isolated in the attacking third before the chance fizzled out.
Pido was called into action again in the 34th minute, producing a comfortable save to deny an effort from just outside the penalty area.
FEU eventually broke the deadlock in the 39th minute. Dela Cruz raced onto a through ball and initially attempted to lift the ball over Pido, but her first effort lacked the power to beat the goalkeeper. The rebound fell kindly back to Dela Cruz, who kept her composure and rifled her second attempt into the top-right corner to hand FEU the lead just before halftime.

The Lady Tamaraws doubled their advantage in the 57th minute when Arevalo delivered a pinpoint cross into the penalty area, where Kyza Colina arrived unmarked to calmly slot home from close range.
DLSU pulled one back five minutes later after FEU goalkeeper Lehayan miscontrolled the ball inside the box. Ushin Valencia capitalized on the mistake to reduce the deficit and spark hopes of a comeback for the Lady Booters.
The Lady Booters pressed for an equalizer late in the match and came close in the 87th minute following a scramble inside the penalty area. Lehayan punched the ball clear but collided with DLSU captain Steph Gone in the process. The loose ball fell to Danoso, whose follow-up effort sailed over the crossbar.
Despite late pressure from DLSU, FEU remained composed defensively to preserve its 1-2 lead and secure all three points.
